Why We Are Here

I know if you are here you must love wine and have a curiosity about everything relating to it. At the same time, Oh no not another blog on wine tasting! Relax! This blog is not about the wine but about the wine tasting experience,the good and the bad.

I don’t know about you but I get pretty tired of people telling me which wines I should like and what I should taste. We all have different taste buds and even that can change daily or sometimes even less. Lots of things effect our tasting. Smells (including colognes and perfumes, so watch what you wear), texture ( if it feels strange we don’t move it around the tongue),visual ( how appealing is the area, does it make you uncomfortable ) and of course atmosphere (is it relaxing and is the staff friendly)

So how do I pick a winery to go to that gives me a great tasting experience. That is the journey that this blog is designed to solve. I want to give all of us a place to talk not about just wine but the experience of the Tasting Room. We can share this experience with each other and learn together the huge amount of information about the wonderful (and not so wonderful) wineries that are opening every day.

There is probably no way that I will ever get to visit the over 600 wineries now listed in Washington state or the thousands around the United states or even the world.  That is why to me this is the perfect venue for a blog.  I don’t have to visit all of them.  All of us share the experience we each have in Washington or anywhere in the world! I will start the ball rolling with a list of the Washington wineries, but feel free to send me wineries to add and your reviews of them. Then as we do get to travel we can travel wiser and have wonderful experiences to share with others. 

The other benefit of this site is we can help the wineries get feed back on what we want and like.  The amazing power of the Blog! They want to make the experience the best they can and we have a wonderful venue to help them improve and grow.  No one can change what they do not know about.

So I look forward to getting to know each of you and all that this wonderful adventure will bring into all our wine experiences. I know that together we can make a very fun and amazing informative site.  Thanks to all of you for your help!
