Well this has always been one of my favorite hidden gems. Jill herself was serving and was handling a fairly large crowd and everyone like the pro she is. They have a very small area for the tasting room. But in the summer the patio is a great place to sit and chat after or before a tasting and the experience is worth the wait if the tasting room is crowded. But we were lucky and got up to the long tasting room bar right away. The front of thier tasting room sheet is complimentary with no fee. There is a fee for the more complex vintages, reserves and ports. The fee is $5 for four wines. Well worth it and Jill is a fountain of knowledge! The crowd she had was fun too! The tasting room also has a small gift area for picking up everything from last minute gifts to the stain removal kit to get that red wine I always manage to get on me. I have been here on both busy and slow days and have always been treated well and had a great time!

Today I decided to venture out to Green Bluff and finally visit Townsend. At first turning up the driveway I had a sense I was lost, but was quickly comforted by seeing several people enjoying the patio area. When I went into the tasting room I was immediately greeted and informed about the tasting menu. How the front side were complimentary and the back was four wines for $5. Working my way through the flight, Jill was extremely helpful and informative. She quickly understand your style and could make other suggestions based off your preference. I was truly impressed with most of the wines and would definitely return with more friends. All in all this was a great experience, and would recommend this place to others.

This winery is north of Spokane in Green Bluff. The drive can be breathtaking on a beautiful weekend afternoon. Love that it offers a sitting area on an outdoor patio, if you wish to stay and enjoy the view with the wine. There is a large assortment of wine in their flights.

I was deeply impressed to how well Jill can read the customer’s responses and direct them to a wine that matches without requiring a taste of all the wines. That is particularly important to me because I am a lightweight when it comes to wine and would prefer to find something I enjoy in the first few drops.

Jill listens, observes, and maintains attentive conversation making you feel welcome regardless if there are a few tasters or a whole room. It is a wonderful experience.
